State Senator Michael Frerichs (D-Gifford) has a full schedule while the General Assembly is on break for two weeks. Frerichs has scheduled satellite office hours and meetings at libraries, village halls, schools and restaurants across the 52nd District.
Already scheduled stops include St. Joseph, Rantoul, Danville, Henning, Bismarck, Potomac, Odgen, Fithian, Oakwood, Thomasboro, Philo, Sidney, Armstrong and Catlin.
"This break in the session schedule gives me the opportunity to get out in the district and talk to constituents about current issues and what is on their mind," said Sen. Frerichs. "We have had a very busy session so far in Springfield and I know people would like to hear about what we have done and what is on deck for when we return."
Frerichs' objective during break is to be available to constituents and towns that he has not visited since session started.
"My time in the district has been limited to mostly weekends and Mondays for the last month and in that limited time I cannot reach out to as many people as I would like," Frerichs added. "I’m looking forward to getting out on the road over the next two weeks."
