FRERICHS PARTNERS WITH LOCAL BUSINESSES IN SUPPLY DRIVE FOR VETERANS
SPRINGFIELD, IL – The Veterans’ Affairs Illiana Health Care System in Danville, IL today received a donation of 3500 cans of shaving cream from local manufacturer KIK Custom Products as part of a supply drive organized by State Senator Michael Frerichs (D – Champaign).
“This Veterans’ Day, I wanted to find a way for our community to show our gratitude and appreciation to local veterans,” said Frerichs. “I thought it might be helpful if the community could help our local VA facility with some much-needed items like shaving cream—little did I know that we’d end up with 286 cases.”
KIK Custom Products, a local manufacturer of household cleaners, pharmaceutical, and health & beauty products, heard of Frerichs’ supply drive and volunteered to donate and deliver 286 cases of shaving cream.
“Many thanks to KIK Custom Products for stepping forward to support local veterans,” said Frerichs. “It is these kinds of community partnerships and this willingness to help others that make East-Central Illinois a great place to live and raise a family.”
Frerichs was on hand for the delivery at the VA facility in Danville this morning. Both Frerichs’ Champaign and Danville offices will be collecting supplies through the end of the week. For more information about how and what to donate, please visit www.mikefrerichs.com.
